200-Hour Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training Program Starts September 24th! (Register before September 12th)
Learn the arts of Yoga and Ayurveda in this unique intensive training program. This is a 10 month course, from which you will receive your 200 Hour Teaching Certification (this course meets and exceeds the standards of the Yoga Alliance). Ayurveda is a natural healing system very similar to Traditional Chinese Medicine, focusing on diet, lifestyle and proper practice of Yogic techniques.
What you will learn:
-How to become a competent yoga instructor. You will be well versed in Asana (yoga postures), Pranayama (breathing practices), Meditation, Relaxation, Yogic Anatomy, Philosophy, and Teaching Methodology.
-How to lead basic and specialized yoga classes. You will be able to determine what type of practices are appropriate to different people according to their unique body type, the season, time of day, and any imbalances of body-mind, based on Ayurvedic principles. You will also learn how to modify these practices to fit the needs of all students.
-How to do a full Ayurvedic intake. You will be able to determine each individual's unique Ayurvedic Constitution, as well as any imbalances, utilizing a variety of techniques including pulse reading, questionnaires, visual analysis, voice and handwriting analysis and more.
-Daily and Seasonal Routines, Cleansing Practices, Diet and Lifestyle Advice. You will learn a wide variety of techniques to offer your students beyond the traditional yoga practices, aiding them in establishing balance in their lives; helping to create a complete system of holistic care.
This is a 10 month course. There will be one 20 hour workshop each month at the cost of $200, running Saturday and Sunday from 6am-6pm with two hours of breaks throughout the day. There is a non-refundable deposit of $300 due by August 31st to reserve your spot and cover the cost of textbooks and materials. Space is limited to 16 individuals.
